Senior Edit: Couples' Edition

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking grad photos for my friends Jenny and Josh! We took some individual photos too, but I wanted to feature the ones they took together in case you're planning to take yours with your S.O. and you're in search of inspiration!

One thing that I've found works really well to make couples look close in photos is by having someone hold the other person's arm. This photo is pretty cute because they're leaning in towards each other with their heads too.

This pose is similar to the last one, but I wanted to get a more natural photo so I had them look at each other and talk for a little bit. Sometimes it can be kind of difficult to help a couple get comfortable in front of the camera (especially if they're usually not super touchy normally in front of people), but I try to direct by telling them to think of inside jokes or good memories they share.

This is one of my favorites for couples (besides dancing, which you might've seen if you've seen some of the engagement photos I've done), but just having them hold hands and walk towards the camera can get a natural looking pose. You can also add some variety by looking at the camera, or at each other.

Hopefully some of these poses helped you think of ideas for your own session with bae! The most important thing though is to be comfortable and natural. It's good to have a pose to start with when you don't know how to place yourself in front of the camera, but think of it as a starting point for creating an authentic image rather than the end goal.
